Getting Ready for Mallorca and More

Hola and Bonjour,

We're getting ready for another travel adventure.  We're heading to Mallorca, Spain on March 14 (arriving on March 15) and returning to Toronto on April 13.   We'll be spending 10 nights in Palma de Mallorca, the capital of Mallorca, a new destination for us.

We will then take a ferry to Barcelona.  Folks may remember that in March 2020, we had to cut our trip to Spain short and only spent one night in locked-down Barcelona before we returned to Toronto.  We will stay in Barcelona for six nights this trip.  The first night we will stay at Praktik Garden, the cool hotel we stayed at for our one night in Barcelona in 2020.  We then move to an Airbnb for the other five nights.

We will be taking another Culinary Backstreets tour of an area of Barcelona we have not visited before.

From Barcelona, we take the train to Sète and visit my cousin for two nights.   Then onto Marseille for three nights.

Finally, we return to Paris for the last eight nights of our trip.   Yes, we'll always have Paris.  We ended up renting an Airbnb in the 5th arrondissement in the same complex where we have stayed a number of times on earlier trips.  We know the concierge and enjoy the quiet courtyard and great location.

The courtyard -last time we stayed there was in 2017

We're looking forward to some beautiful weather, a new location to visit (Mallorca) and a return to some favourites.

Allan will be "Alano" in Spain and "Alain" in France.

Please check our blog from time to time to follow our adventure.  I'll most likely do the first post from Palma on March 16, once we have a chance to settle in.
